These were simple to make. I cut the tortillas into chip size pieces, drizzled them with olive oil, and then sprinkled them with salt. After a few minutes in the oven they were golden brown and I pulled them out. Once cooled they were crisp and delicious. I did end up burning one batch as it doesn't take long for them to go from having no color to burning.
Homemade Tortilla Chips (original Hezzi-D recipe)8 corn tortillas
1 T. olive oil
1 t. salt
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
2. Stack 4 corn tortillas on top of each other. Using a pizza cutter, cut the tortillas into 8 pieces.3. Place the chips on a cookie sheet and drizzle with the olive oil. Sprinkle with salt.
4. Bake for 6-8 minutes, watching carefully so that the chips do not get overly brown. Remove from oven and cool on a plate. The chips will crisp up as they cool.
