I thought with all the food I'm sharing we could all use a little something to make ourselves more beautiful. Make sure you stop by Cassie's blog and see all her fashion and beauty tips!
Hi everybody I'm Cassie and I blog over at Southeast by Midwest which is a beauty and fashion blog. I'm so happy that Heather is allowing me to share with you my DIY Pumpkin Face Mask with you today. This mask is not only good for your skin but uses ingredients that this time of year should be super easy for you to get your hands on! Plus if you happen to sample a little it's edible and yummy.
The ingredients that I used for this are all super great for your skin as well. Nutmeg is anti-inflammatory, helps reduce pore size and acne scars while the vitamins in the pumpkin are doing all kinds of great things for your skin (A hydrates, C reduces damage caused by free radicals, and E helps fight acne.) The olive oil and honey are just sitting there looking pretty either, olive oil acts as a natural moisturizer for the skin and even though it's oil it's great for ALL skin types and the honey not only helps the mask to stick to your face but it's also an anti-fungal so it helps get all that nastiness out of those pores!
Ingredients:
Pumpkin (this can be fresh or canned I used the canned for this because we don't actually have fresh pumpkins for sell yet around me)
Olive Oil
Nutmeg
Honey
Directions:
1. Start with putting a 1/4 cup of your pumpkin into a bowl
2. Next add in 1/4 teaspoon of the nutmeg and a 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil
3. Add in the honey. I started with a tablespoon but it depends the how porous your face is as to how much you add. Don't worry as there really isn't a wrong measurement on this one you just want to add enough so that when you put it on it'll stick to you face and not slide off to the floor...or your clothes.
4. Blend all together and then apply to your face
5. Lastly, let this sit for about 10-15 minutes depending on how thick of a layer you put on, you want to rinse it off just as it's starting to dry. Rinse with either warm water, warm water and a rag, or by jumping into a shower!
And there you have your DIY Pumpkin Face Mask, I hope you guys enjoyed and thanks again for letting me share Heather!
