Peanut Butter Chocolate Tiramisu

Peanut Butter & chocolate are truly a match made in heaven and the ultimate in no-bake desserts has arrived! Peanut Butter Chocolate Tiramisu. When it comes to desserts this is the most popular combination coming out of my kitchen and this twist on the classic tiramisu recipe is going to knock the socks off of my guests at my next party.

Simplifying entertaining is a huge part of my party plan. An out of this world dessert made with a simple ingredient list is exactly what I need. Tiramisu is one of my favorite desserts and I love creating delicious twists on the classic recipe. In this divine creation we have a bed of spiked mocha soaked savoiardi cookies layered with rich peanut butter cream and decadent hot fudge sauce. Oh.my.word!!!

We receive so many emails asking us for help teaching how to cook, bake or complete a kitchen task. Imagine my delight when we were asked to partner with Craftsy and with Christmas right around the corner I can think of so many people that will be thrilled to learn about this!

What is your kitchen kryptonite? Is there something so frustrating to you that you completely stay away from or something that interests you so much you wish to learn more? Mine has been homemade pie crusts. Honestly, I make very few pies because pie crusts and I simply have never gotten along and store bought crusts just don’t taste the same.

Crafting the Perfect Christmas Party

The Christmas season is the best time of year and our annual holiday party is my absolute favorite party! Simplifying a Christmas party makes it so much more fun for you and your guests. We are so excited to be partnering with Smirnoff to help you craft your holiday party.

I always start party planning by choosing a theme. It can be a simple choice of colors or you can go all out and create a Winter Wonderland Celebration. I like simple. Old world colors of deep reds and golds make me happy. I will send out an invitation that reflects that theme. My invitations will include a lovely image on the front cover and You Are Invited: Our Annual Christmas Party. I actually used to mail out our invites, but in the last few years I have started using online invites and I like it so much more. Simple.



The details for the party are inside the invite. We are serving appetizers, desserts and cocktails. Therefore the party will start a little later than an actual dinner party. Our party starts at 7:30pm. The perfect time. I also let our guests know that it will be appetizers, desserts and cocktails. Lastly I will tell them what the appropriate attire is and to bring a gift to exchange if they would like to participate and the value of the gift.

We are so excited to be partnering with Terrapin Ridge Farms. We love fun dips, sauces and toppings and that is just the beginning of what we found on their site. Playing with their sauces, spreads, dips and glazes was so much fun. I can not believe all the flavors that are available.

I remember, a few months ago while vacationing we ran into this great boutique shop that sold salsas, jellies and jams. We spent hours in there sampling the different flavors. I have such appreciation for unusal flavor combinations and we were looking for something to really knock our socks off.

After working with Terrapin Ridge Farms over the last few months I am completely and totally blown away by the fabulous flavor combinations available from one brand. I was most taken by their commitment to quality. They use the very best ingredients and most are all natural and gluten free. Which makes me feel great about serving them to my 3 year old.

While I enjoyed playing with all of their products, and believe me there are an array of amazing flavor combinations, my favorite was their Sriracha Sauce. I swear it is perfect heat for me. Living in the southwest we eat a lot of hot peppers, spices and hot flavors. I like heat but I am more of a medium heat kinda girl. Where Chad loves Serrano and Habaneros, they can be a little much for me. This Sriracha Sauce is perfect. It starts off with the classic sriracha and they add tomato puree and some smoky spices to really knock it out of the park.

If you know anything about me, you probably are aware of my frugal nature. I am always looking for the best deal. I watch sale prices so I get the most BANG for my buck on groceries and even clip the sale coupons before shopping at my favorite department store.

Although, my mother always said "you get what you pay for" and she was so right. As of late I have spent a lot of time talking about beef. Chad and I have been discussing buying natural grass fed beef, for so many reasons.

Chipotle Bacon Monte Cristo Sandwiches

When you break it all down I am a simple gal. I like to make things from scratch, but in the end some days, convenience is king! I have been a long time lover of sandwiches and truly enjoy dressing them up.
