The times, they are a-changin'. In good ways, of course!
I didn't talk too much about my last company, but most of you know that:
A. They're a Fortune 500 medical company.
B. We parted ways last Summer...and not under wonderful circumstances.
C. They sucked the life out of me for the seven and a half years I was there.
Really, I didn't realize how unhappy I was until I was gone. Don't get me wrong - there are some absolutely amazing people there. People who made me smile, and I very much hope I get to work with again someday. But there were some folks that I'm thankful I never have to see again.
And, that's all I'm going to say about that.
What being on the outside of the medical word made me realize is that I want to work on the INSIDE of the medical world.
Monday I take my first step in making that happen. I'll be doing a one month program to become a CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant)/HHA (Home Health Aide), then in the fall of 2013 I plan to go through an LPN program.
I've told you that I've been volunteering with a dachshund rescue, right?! Right! Well, I've been given the opportunity to adopt a new puppy. Which, it goes without saying, I said "yes" to immediately.
There are nine puppies in the litter, and I get 4th choice.
If you follow me on Twitter, you probably noticed this already, but I am seriously considering changing my blog name.
Unfortunately...I don't know to what. A few ideas are "Life is Wien-derful", "Isn't Life Wien-derful" and "Ahead of the Pack". I could really use your creativity and ideas. Lay 'em on me!

Her name is Destiny.
His name is Brady.
I was told to pick a few pups just in case adopters 1-3 pick my first choice. These are two of my choices. And, yes....I will be asking you for input on names once I know which little love I'm getting!!
