Summer is finally here! While I love the hot weather the children in my life don't always love it. Not only do I get to pal around with my niece and nephews in the summer, I'm also teaching a half day summer school program so I have my students 4 days a week all summer long. I love giving both my students and my niece and nephews treats but I worry about giving them snacks that fill them up and have them not wanting dinner. I'm also concerned about price when it comes to kids snacks.
I shouldn't worry though because one of the cheapest and most favorite snacks of all my students is Fla-Vor-Ice! The nice thing about these pops is that they are shelf stable so I don't have to put them all in the freezer at one time which takes up a lot of space. Fla-Vor-Ice pops are mom approved with just 20 calories per standard serving, they are low in sugar (5g per serving), and they are made with real fruit juice! A big worry at school is watching for student allergies but Fla-Vor-Ice do not have any major allergens in them and they are gluten free. At just under $.10 a serving they are affordable for a large group of children as well.
